The majority of the natural resources in South East Queensland are on private land.

Active support of land managers and recognition of their investment in time and resources to protect and restore these natural assets is critical.

It is also important to recognise the significant contribution that publicly owned land makes to the achievement of improved natural resource management practices in the region. SEQ Catchments works closely with a wide range of public landowners like Energex, Powerlink, Seqwater, Councils and State Agencies on projects aimed at protecting and restoring these publically owned lands.

SEQ Catchments supports landowners by improving their knowledge and aspirations to implement best management practices on their properties – be they privately or publically owned.

Examples of activities may include:

  • property planning support
  • free training and workshops
  • working with community groups to deliver high quality on ground outcomes
